Prokaria signs agreement with Nestlé Research Center

The Icelandic company Prokaria has signed a research agreement with the Nestlé Research Center in Lausanne, Switzerland. Under terms of the agreement the partners will commence a screening program to locate new natural components for food applications.

Dr. Jakob Kristjánsson, Prokaria President and CEO, says in a company statement, “This strategic move brings together opportunities for discovery in one of the world's most diverse, extreme ecosystems, involving the world's largest food company. Nestlé has established its position as world leader in the innovative development of food products. We are very excited about working with them on this project and see it as another great step forward for Prokaria in developing its GENEMININGTM discovery services for our corporate customers."
