Industria Wins 2006 Red Herring 100 Europe Award
Global investment and innovation publication Red Herring today announced that leading broadband solutions provider and systems integrator Industria is a recipient of this year's Red Herring 100 Europe, a selection of the 100 private companies based in the EMEA region that play a leading role in innovation and technology.
Red Herring's lists of top private companies are an important part of the magazine's tradition of identifying new and innovative technology companies and entrepreneurs, with companies like Google, eBay and Skype spotted in their early days by the magazine's editors as those that would change the way people live and work.
“We're honoured and delighted to receive this award for our broadband software solutions, which we believe to be among the most effective and far-reaching on the market today,” says Industria CEO Gudjon Mar Gudjonsson.
An annual highlight on the industry calendar, the awards this year are based on a rigorous evaluation by Red Herring's editorial staff of more than 700 private companies through a careful analysis of financial data and subjective criteria, including quality of management, execution of strategy, and dedication to research and development.
Speaking at the awards ceremony, Red Herring editor-in-chief Joel Dreyfuss commented, “Market obstacles remain but our list shows that great companies are being created in Europe.”
Industria received its award for the company's innovative suite of software solutions for broadband providers that bring new levels of integration, automation and speed to triple-play and converged service operators.
